Reviews for SEVEN-X

The following is a BOOK TRAILER only and does not reflect casting or production for the SEVEN-X Film.

Mike Wech got the idea for Seven-X while reading the Bible. This is his debut book and the first in a planned series of both books and movies.  Mike started out his career path as an actor, from there he moved behind the camera.  His first feature was “The Moment After 2: The Awakening”; followed by “South Dakota” and “The Exodus of Charlie Wright.”  So I think we will be in good hands when it comes to any book to movie deals.

This is a story of good vs. evil.  Possession and redemption.  Demons’ fighting to gain entrance to one’s very soul.  The Bible states when one demon is exorcised he will bring back 7 more to try again (Matthew 12: 43-45) hence the title.

Ironically, before starting this book a friend had posted the question, what are some of your favorite lesser known found footage movies?  That is exactly how this book reads!  You can visualize what’s happening as you go along journal entry by journal entry.  I can’t wait to see this on the big screen.

"I LOVED it! For me, I got the feel of Shutter Island + The Exorcist + Paranormal Activity. Seven-X was so chilling, intense, well written, fast paced and kept me wanting more the whole time. I couldn't put the book down! I loved the character of Eddie and trying to figure out if he was going crazy, being possessed by a demon, or if they were in fact drugging him. This is one that is going to stick with me and I will think about for a long time after I'm done reading it. I really hope there will be a movie done at some point, or a sequel to the book or something! Seven-X does not disappoint!!"

From KAREN:

"I just devoured Seven X in one sitting. Yes, it was that good. Mike Wech has crafted a very entertaining and original story that will keep you turning pages until the end. Lots of meat, not filler in this story. A lot of books in this genre will skimp on details and use violence as a filler, the author has obviously done a lot research. What follows is a trip to hell for Eddie with an ending that begs for more...I am so glad that this is a trilogy so I can find out what happens next. Write faster Mike and thanks for an exciting read!"

Wow! This novel was fantastic! Other than another Horror novel, I had no idea what I was getting into. It was so well written that I was drawn in from the very first page. It was so accurate and seemed so real, I began to wonder if Eddie Hansen really existed. I loved the way it drew me in, put me on an emotional rollercoaster and wondering if Timothy’s accusations are true. I must admit, this book gave me chills! I was hoping Eddie would go home and save himself, instead his quest for truth put his life and soul in danger. I can’t wait to see what else Mike Wech has in store for us.

Mike Wech has produced a stunning work with Seven-X. I found myself unable to put it down. Not only was the story intriguing and thrilling, but it left me completely entertained and enthralled. I found myself sympathizing with the characters and appalled at their behavior all at the same time; and also constantly wondering if Eddie had stumbled upon a madhouse or if the entire facility was some sort of charade or truly the home of unspeakable experiments that he believed he was looking for in the first place. Seven-X is filled with characters that you will find not only interesting but terrifying and deliciously confusing at the same time. Spend some time with Eddie at Uphir and ask yourself — Do I really know what I am capable of…?

"Wow. That was one of the creepiest books I have ever read. The end sent chills through me like no other. I read the reviews before I read the book and a good thing I did. Make sure to read this  book during daylight hours only!"

I really loved this book! I didn't want to put it down! It was very intense, creepy to the core, sent chills down my spine anticipating what was going to happen next! The wording was sensational! The way it was written made me feel as if I was right there with the main character Eddie Hanson in that mental hospital and experiencing the things he did while there!

I highly recommend reading this book. I really hope this book gets made into a movie cause I will definitely be going to see this one!

"Easily one of the best books I've read in awhile. A smart, intense, thinking man's thriller with a horror edge that immediately brings you into the action and keeps you there through every twist and turn. The writing is so vivid and the style is so unique, weaving first and third person narrative so seamlessly that it feels like you are a part of the story as you read it. You become locked involuntarily into the asylum with Eddie and live and breathe his nightmare as he tries to break the story that becomes his own. An ingenious piece of literature and a wild, creepy ride that is worth taking!"
