Another passion Mike always enjoyed Is music. Mike has written a variety of songs and was the lead singer of the band "Spiritual Java"

"As an artist, I'm always looking for ways to express creativity and inspiration that innately comes from inside me. I think everyone has that 'Rock-n-Roll fantasy of being on stage, so it was fun to explore"

"All Those Times"  SPIRITUAL JAVA

Spiritual Java was founded by guitarist Antonio Bolet and drummer Dan Stahl (now of Led-Hed) with bassist Ed DiOlivera, guitarist William Smith and singer Mike Wech.

With a rock-progressive core, middle eastern textures and jazz influences Spiritual Java was true a fusion band. One of Spiritual Java's highlights was opening for Eddie Money at 2003's Recovery Fest at the Palm Beach Amphitheater.

"Morning Prayer"  SPIRITUAL JAVA

"I really enjoy the expression of song as a story telling instrument and plan to continue writing songs as they inspire me"

Mike Wech is a writer, producer, editor and actor based in Los Angeles CA.

Originally from Buffalo, Mike began writing poems and stories when he was five years old sharing them with his friends and family.

"Writing has always been a natural part of me, that I've needed to explore. It's just been a matter of inspiration then creating the opportunity and managing the time to write more as an adult."

As a communications and theater major at Brockport State, it gave Mike the opportunity to begin preparing for a professional career as an artist.

"The theater bug bit me hard and I loved the creative process and that's when I knew I was never going to do anything else but work in show business, somehow, some way!"

Mike's career began in New York as an actor with appearances on Liquid Television, America's Most Wanted, One Life To Live and All My Children as well as numerous stage plays.

"It was rewarding and frustrating as an artist to find roles which would showcase the types of characters that had the depth of character I wanted to explore, so I started writing them."

That writing eventually led Mike behind the camera where he crafted television shows like "VH1's Fairway to Heaven," as well as continued work with corporate clients and television producers.

"As an adult you begin to realize that you have to earn a living and there was no way I was going to abandon my dream. That was not an option. But to get better, I needed to learn more. I wanted to learn everything I could on how this business works, how projects come together and how production works. I made it an emphasis that no job was too small and every experience on set would teach me something."

Mike continued writing, as he taught himself through on the job training as a TV and film editor, producer, director, graphic artist, camera operator, first assistant director, assistant editor, motion graphic artist, sound designer and actor continuing to hone his craft with the goal of moving into feature films.

His first feature, the post apocalyptic "The Moment After2, The Awakening, directed by Wes Llewellyn sold over a million dollars on DVD. More features and television shows followed including the critically acclaimed docu-drama "South Dakota" with Star Wars Producer Howard Kazanjian and Director Bruce Isacson, and the gritty crime drama, "The Exodus of Charlie Wright" starring Andy Garcia, Aidan Quinn, Gina Gershon and Luke Goss, directed by R. Ellis Frazier.

With an eye on producing his own material, and learning from his past experience, Mike was inspired to write SEVEN-X

SEVEN-X is Mike's debut novel and the first in the forthcoming SEVEN-X series of books.

"Horror fans get ready for a creepy, unsettling ride into your worst nightmare!"
